AdWords Landing Page Fallout Continues

Some speculate that the recent exodus of AdWords advertisers created by Google's hike in bid prices will mean more business for other PPC engines.

In actuality, Yahoo and MSN's ability to profit off this change is limited by the fact that they don't have the user traffic many advertisers need to generate decent revenue. This makes it a heck of a lot easier for Google to modify their system however they want.

As one advertiser in Threadwatch commented:

"There is almost nobody left there other than some irrelevant ebay ad and a few major department stores which also have an irrelevant landing page."

In many cases, Google seems to have gone from managing many small(ish)-spending clients to managing a few huge-spending clients, each of whom is probably now spending considerably more than they used to. Sounds like things are good in Google land.
