Early Experiences with MSN adCenter

Been running adCenter ads on a pretty small scale for a few weeks. Here's a few quick notes.

First of all, be sure to use IE. The user interface for adCenter is so completely broken in Firefox that it's difficult to imagine this was anything other than a deliberate attempt by Microsoft to dissuade adCenter users from using a competitor's browser.

Second, you will most likely not see your adCenter ads running on MSN Search. Those are still mostly Yahoo Search Marketing ads. Instead, head on over to:

http://adcenter.search.msn.com/

This was pointed out earlier by Oilman, and mentioned on SERoundtable.

Third, click-throughs are not good, but this may have to do with the ads somewhat rarely actually appearing on MSN Search, as mentioned above. However, Jennifer Slegg mentioned today that "advertisers will see a 70% increase on ad impressions being served on MSN search results" beginning Tuesday, February 28th.
