Greatest. Presell Page. Evar.

I thought this was just an interesting article on sleep, 'till my company's resident marketing guru pointed out it's really a cleverly disguised presell page for Cortex Pharmaceuticals new CX717 sleep drug. Brilliant.

In case you don't know what a presell page is: instead of buying an ad or purchasing a text link on a site, you write a really good article (that may or may not casually mention your product) and embed your link in the article (or its tagline). Then you have another site run that article as killer content. It's much more effective than ads or link buying from both a marketing and SEO perspective.

Plus it has the potential to go viral, as this sleep article with more than 2000 Diggs clearly has. Kudos to the evil marketing geniuses at the drug companies. Nobody does it better.
