How to Get a PageRank 8 Link From Google

There was a bit of a furor raised recently in response to some comments Matt Cutts made on his blog about Google's approach to paid links, inspiring one of the longer blog comment threads I've seen recently.

While it's an interesting thread, my favorite bit comes from a post made by seomike, where he points to Google's awards page.

It's a list of awards Google has been awarded for things like "best search engine" from companies including Pandia, SearchEngineWatch, and Scripting News.

Though I'm sure that the awarding sites were unaware they would receive such a cherry link for their favorable rating of Google, it seems to have worked out pretty nicely for them. A trusted PageRank 8 link never hurts.

(Also, thanks to Pandia for rating the Unfair Advantage Book the top SEM book for the past 3 years. Those guys know quality when they see it.)
