Lane's Gifts Somewhat Victorious in Google Clickfraud Suit

I say somewhat because:

1. The settlement is for credit towards more clicks, not a refund of money lost due to fraudulent clicks.
2. A settlement may put the kibosh on future lawsuits which attempt to recoup money lost due to fraudulent clicks.
3. $90 million is pocket change to Google.

That said, if you've been a victim of clickfraud, now's the time to revisit your complaint with Google. All advertisers which have experienced clickfraud at any point since AdWords started back in 2002 are eligible for a piece of the $90 million pie, but when it's gone, it's gone.

The Google blog lays it out, and you can get more details and discussion from SEW, Threadwatch, and Battelle.
