Mr. Ploppy's Bad Ass Black Hat List

Mr. Ploppy's Monday Morning Tool List is especially interesting this week. He's covering the so-called "black hat" SEO tools. Some of these tools are more black hat than others, and he's not covering link spamming at all, which is probably just as well.

Very nice work by Mr. Ploppy, all in all. But novices take note: unless you're operating in PPC (pills, porn, or casinos), you're much better off keeping most black hat tools as far away from your website as possible.

However, if you really want to get into SEO, it's essential you grasp how each of these tools work. To paraphrase Nick at ThreadWatch: it's more about understanding them than actually using them.

Not sure if I'd really classify cloaking as black hat: sometimes it is, sometimes it ain't. It depends on how it's being used. And Mr. Ploppy fails to mention the grand-daddy of all cloaking software: IP Delivery.
