The Indie Virus is Spreading

The assault on the A-list has begun. It remains to be seen whether it can sustain its momentum.

A few weeks back I wrote a post on diversifying your blogrolls to help give lesser known bloggers some more exposure.

Looks like I wasn't the only one. In some kind of Jungian collective unconsciousness, variations of the same idea's begun popping up all over the net:

Chris Pearson came up with the idea of The Indie Virus. Basically, link to good but underexposed bloggers with the anchor text "The Indie Virus". Everyone using the same anchor text makes it easier to track the spread. IrishWonder has more.

I'm down, and I hope you are too. Just remember, link to good stuff. We're trying to raise the profile of some deserving bloggers here, not turn the web into one giant sympathy lay.

So watch out for The Indie Virus, cause if you catch The Indie Virus, you might spread The Indie Virus.
