Yahoo Goes CSS, Zeldman Should Be Proud

Just happened to be checking the source for the Yahoo homepage (because that's the sort of thing I do) and noticed that the previous spaghetti of nested tables has been replaced by some very web standards compliant div and span tags.

I used to use the Yahoo homepage of an example of how it's possible for a site with even the most atrocious html to rank well (obviously it helps to be one of the most highly trafficked sites on the Internet, but still). Looks like I can't do that anymore.

It warms the heart to see Yahoo getting on the standards bandwagon. The page looks very clean. However, they really should move all that CSS into a separate file. It'd probably save them a fortune on bandwidth charges. And their DOCTYPE is still broken.
